At Amas, we’re obsessed with condiments, not your data. We collect just enough information to get our jars from our warehouse to your table. We treat your personal info the same way we treat our ingredients: with care, respect, and zero "fillers."

2. The Information We Collect

To fulfill your orders and keep things spicy, we collect:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Your name, shipping/billing address, email, and phone number (if provided for delivery updates or SMS marketing).

  • Transaction Data: Details about the sauces you’ve bought and how you paid. This is processed securely via Shopify; we never see your full card digits.

  • Device Information: Automatically collected technical data including your IP address, browser type, time zone, and how you interact with our site. This helps us make the Amas experience better.

3. Our "Why" (Lawful Basis)

Under UK Law (UK GDPR & DUAA 2025), we only process your data with a valid reason:

  • To Get You Your Goods (Contractual Necessity): We need your info to fulfill our contract with you and deliver your order.

  • To Keep Things Spicy (Consent): If you opt-in to our newsletter or SMS alerts (managed via Klaviyo), we use your email or phone number to send you updates. You can "break up" with us at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" or replying STOP.

  • To Improve Amas (Legitimate Interests): We analyze site traffic to improve our range. We also use "Recognised Legitimate Interests" for essential security and fraud prevention.

4. Who’s in the Amas Inner Circle?

We don’t sell your data. We only share it with our "essential helpers" who are contractually bound to protect it:

  • Our Online Shop Engine: They host our store and secure your payments.

  • The Warehouse Crew & Couriers: They get your shipping info so they can pack and deliver your box.

  • Our Megaphone: They manage our emails and SMS. Your data may be stored on secure servers in the US, protected by the UK-US Data Bridge and Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • The SMS Guarantee: The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.
